It seems that everyone I've spoken to in the past, oh, 48 hours has mentioned the same theme: feeling "overwhelmed." My friends, sisters, mom, and yes, even my boss, has used words like "drowning," "stressed to the max," and "I just can't do this anymore!" Start of a new school year, for many of us, holidays approaching, changing season... there's always something (no, make that waaay to many somethings) going on. Why is it that, in today's world, where we have so many comforts and the luxuries of modern technology, women everywhere (and men, too!) are feeling this incredible time press? And what can we do about it? Well, actually, my mom recently sent me a book titled, Overwhelmed: Work, Love, and Play When No One Has the Time. The book gives some tips how to survive in today's busy busy world but, to be honest, I have been too... overwhelmed to get past the first couple of chapters!! But let me tell you, receiving a gift from my mother in the mail gave me a real lift to my day. Imagine that! You have the power to change someone else's day by sending them a thoughtful little gift to let them know they're special to you.
