Guzzini

The seed of innovation was already present in Fratelli Guzzini from the year of the company’s birth in 1912. This seed of innovation was made fertile by Enrico Guzzini, a man with an open mind who drew upon his experiences, including those abroad, to set about re-launching an ancient craft - producing elegant ox horn items. Subsequently, around 1938, another generation of Guzzini started a small revolution by manufacturing household items using Plexiglas. From that time, the company's history has been characterised by a series of decisively innovatory milestones. With the introduction of moulded acrylics at the beginning of the 1960s, Raimondo Guzzini s contemporary intuition sought to give the company a more open approach to business by importing into the Marche region the creative concepts of some of the best minds in design, starting with Luigi Massoni. This was followed by the development of the bicolour project in the 1980s, then the leap to gas-assisted injection in the 1990s, to current research on new plastic materials and their infinite potential, usefully combining them with futuristic acrylics or more classical traditional materials, such as porcelain, glass, steel and wood. After almost a century, the main impetus behind this development (and that of all the companies within Fimag, the family s holding company) continues to come from a team of managers that share the same passion for innovation, as well as the same surname: Guzzini. Today, Guzzini products can be found in homes, restaurants and hotels in 85 countries throughout the world. Much of this success is due to a basic quality in the company’s DNA - a curiosity for innovation. The future is multiple materials and multiple formats. In recent years, Fratelli Guzzini have been working on a basic idea - making new plastic materials as appealing and valued as glass, wood and porcelain. Guzzini’s approach to design and designers can be summarised in the words of Ross Lovegrove: “One of the reasons why I seriously intend to continue working with Fratelli Guzzini is that I am one of those people who, when they get out of bed in the morning, look to the future without setting any limits.”

I bought this after reading about the manufacturer and the perfumery. They noted after 24-48hrs your whole room fills up with magnificent scent. Not the case for $100. I do Feng Shui so wanted to at least give this a try. A nice non irritable candle or incense stick will do exactly the same as this device for fraction of the cost.

Cloth is lovely. Was not thrilled with how it was made. Round cloth but not made in one piece
